TEST IT Bromelin
Bromelin is a proteolytic enzyme that leads to a decrease in electronegative charges on the surface of red blood cells and allows these cells to agglutinate with antibodies that do not normally react in saline. Various proteolytic enzymes are used in blood grouping tests; trypsin, which has a very limited specificity, bromelin, fisin, which has a wide specificity for peptide bonds, and papain.
