TEST IT Gel Anti-IgG

Antiglobulin testing was introduced into clinical medicine by Coombs in 1945, and hence called Coombs test. This test is based on the determination of red blood cells covered with immunoglobulins or complement fractions by polispecific anti-human globulins (AHG). Anti-IgG provides important support for diagnosis during the determination of the presence or absence of IgG in human erythrocytes. This reagent will identify the erythrocytes sensitized with IgG and react with erythrocytes sensitized with complement. Anti-IgG is a suitable reagent for direct or indirect antiglobulin
test. Direct Coombs test ensures determination of immunoglobulin on the red blood cell.
Indirect Coombs test determines the presence of antibodies free in serum/plasma. Cross Match test shows the presence or absence of unexpected antibodies in the recipient’s blood that are specific against the antigens of the donor’s red blood cells as a result of the comparison of the donor’s red blood cells with the recipient’s serum or plasma. Weak D antigens are determined with sensitive anti D antiserums by Indirect Coombs test.
